
Fulbright Academy’s Women in Science Group
The next meeting is lunch on Friday, April 23rd at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge. The meeting is in conjunction with the Museum of Science’s Women in Science Luncheon Series.
Human Space Exploration – Space Shuttle, International Space Station and Beyond.
Speaker: Colonel Pamela Melroy, NASA Astronaut (retired)
Colonel Melroy is deputy program manager for Space Exploration Initiatives at Lockheed Martin. She was a pilot on two space flights (200, 2002) and mission commander (2007), and logged more than 38 days in space. She served in the US Air Force before joining NASA.
This will be the fourth time that FAST is bringing a group of Fulbrighters to the Luncheon. Prior speakers were Dr. Susan Avery (President of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution), Dr. Susan Hockfield (President of MIT), Dr. Angela Belcher (Professor at MIT).
The FAST Group will meet starting at 11:30 in the Hotel Lobby (near the fireplace). The formal mingling with the other luncheon guests begins at 12:30, and the Space Exploration Program begins at 1:00. The program concludes at 2:30.
The Museum has raised their prices, and cost for the Luncheon is now $60. You can purchase your ticket through our website by making a donation of $60 or more (below).
